I was born in Romania, lived in Italy for 12 years and in England for 4 . I have trained to become an English teacher at New College Nottingham and was awarded the CELTA certification, in 2012 ( Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults) by Cambridge English Language Assessment.
I taught at British Institutes for one academic year, preparing young learners and adults for Cambridge exams. Then I offered internal English training to groups and individuals at a telecommunication company, in Milan Italy, for 7 years.
We worked together towards sitting Cambridge and British exams which they passed successfully and with high scores.
I’ve also been tutoring in England at Elac Study Vacantions, during summer holidays, working with teenagers from Italy, Spain, Greece, Ukraine, Romania, China, Russia and Japan.
Besides grammar and vocabulary, it brings me great joy to focus on intonation, pronunciation as well as functional language that you can apply immediately in business and everyday conversations with native speakers.
Besides teaching, I have studied to become an interpreter and was awarded the Understanding Community Interpreting qualification in 2009 then worked as an English to Italian and English to Romanian interpreter and translator for 3 years.
Studying with me, you will improve your accent, pronunciation, you will become more confident in making presentations and even get promoted.
